We celebrated Crue's first birthday on August 4, 2012. We planned a Star Wars party since Cody is a Star Wars fanatic. We had pretty much all of our family there and a couple friends, it was a fun day to spend with everyone.
I had a hard time leading up to Crue's birthday because I realized my baby was no longer a baby, and that he was growing up. I love seeing him learn new things, but its so hard to think about how fast he is growing up. Here are a few fun facts about our little Crue.
1. He is considered "petite" for his age.
2. He got his 2 bottom teeth at 8.5 and 9 months old.
3. He got his 2 top teeth at 11.5 months old.
4. He started clapping at around 11 months old.
5. He started waving "bye bye" a week before his birthday.
6. He loves anything electronic, and gets a huge grin on his face when he gets to play with anything electronic.
7. He loves looking at books.
8. He will walk while pushing his walking toy, or he will walk along furniture.
9. We are working on teaching him sign language, he can do the sign for "more", "cracker" but I am not sure if he realizes what he is signing yet.
10. He sings, and dances.
11. He is a very good natured little boy, very quite and inquisitive.
12. He is a very big mommas boy.
14. He has been able to drink out of a straw since about 7.5 months old. He also can drink out of a cup pretty well on his own.
We love him very much, he has blessed our lives. I know that Heavenly Father picked out someone that would be just perfect for our family. He is the boy that made me a Mom, and he has a special little place in my heart.
I love you Crue, keep growing and learning. You are a very smart boy! Momma and Dadda love you very much! xoxoxo

Update on Crue
Since Crue is growing and changing so much I have a lot to post.
Crue has change a lot in the last few months, he is now 9.5 months old! Holy cow!! He didn't really start gaining lots of weight until he was about 6 months old. Up to that point he was always very small for his age. Now he weighs 18 lbs 11 oz. He is still a little small for his age, but he is getting close to being average. He has 1 bottom tooth, and I think he is trying to cut the other bottom tooth. He got his first bottom tooth the end of April.
He doesn't crawl, but he knows how to move around whether its scooting on his bum or rolling and pulling him self. He has been such a blessing to our family. Here are some fun facts about Crue from 6 mo. to 9.5 mo:
1. He loves being outside
2. He says Da-Da
3. He reaches out for people to hold him, and when he reaches for me it literally melts my heart.
4. He loves food, we can't eat in front of him or he gets very upset.
5. He loves wearing his hat, and sunglasses (yes he keeps them on 95% of the time).
6. Around 7 mo. he really started loving the bath, now I don't walk away dry from bath time.
7. He has a joking/showoff personality. If he does something that makes people laugh he will do it again and then stop to make sure your still watching and still think its funny, he learned this trick while he was putting his mouth on the leather couch and blowing and it made a fart noise, he now does that all the time and will make sure he has an audience.
8. He has a very sweet spirit, he can sit very still and be very quiet, people always are so shocked at how good of a baby he is.
9. He scrunches up his shoulders or face when he is embarrassed or acting shy.
10. He snuggles into my chest or neck, and I know that is his way of showing me that he loves me.
We are very blessed to have a very good natured little guy in our house, he loves his momma and his dadda. I can't imagine our lives any other way.

Heaven Is Here
For the last couple years I have read "Nie Nie's" blog, such an inspiration. I didn't know she had a book out, and if I would have known sooner I probably would have already had it read (I know it just came out). I decided that it would be fun for me and my sisters to read it together and then we could talk about it...like a book club of sorts. So yesterday I told my sister to buy it and I would buy it as well. I bought it last night at about 10:30 and I read several chapters last night. And all I wanted to do when I woke up is read! I have read it almost all day except for the occasional breaks to feed, change and play with Crue.
Its such an inspirational book, I can't imagine was she went through and what she is still going through. I read about her life and it makes me want to be a better mom, Crue looks up to me as his mother and I want to be there for him ALWAYS. In her book there was one part that has really struck me so much so that I was in tears, she was in the hospital just a few weeks before she would be released and the Dr. wanted her to have her kids come up and see her. He felt like it was part of the healing process. And her daughter came in the room after not seeing her mom for 5 months, and looked at her and quickly looked away. And left the room and didn't want to see her mom. And still further into the story she still hasn't faced her mom, and Nie Nie said she just cried all night, because she felt like her own kids didn't love her anymore. I don't think Jane wasn't coming to see her mom because she didn't love her but probably because she was simply scared by the change in her mom.
I worry that one day Crue won't think I am that "cool" anymore and maybe he wouldn't love me as much as I love him. Overall I just want to be a better mother, and wife because of this book. Its truly amazing, everyone should read it...it is a tear jerker.

We MOVED!
We have been wanting to move for the last little while, because it was getting hard to haul our laundry to Payson every Sunday and try and get 6 loads done in just a short amount of time. So I would check Ksl several times a day trying to find somewhere with a washer and dryer or at least hook ups.
We couldn't really find any in our price range, so my mom gave me the idea to look the old fashioned way (in the newspaper classifieds) we found our new apartment and moved in a week after looking at it and paying the deposit. It was a hard adjustment at first because our landlord changed our contract dates on us and so we had to end up selling our contract before April 5th or we would of had to pay 2 months rent, which we couldn't afford. I won't lie I cried a few times over how stressed everything was, and how I questioned if we were "supposed" to move when we did. It finally sold a week ago, and so there has been a HUGE burden lifted off our shoulders. We love our new place; there is more room, more storage and a bigger kitchen which I like.
Crue update:
With all the moving, and cleaning our old apartment Crue got a cold.....again. I hate that he got sick again, but I am not sure if it was very avoidable. I feel like a horrible mom because of how many colds he has gotten in the last 2 months. I dress him warm, and try not to get him around any sick kids but I guess it just happens. Here are a couple things that Crue is up to at 8 months.
1. He loves sitting up and playing, he started sitting up (unsupported) at about 6.5 months.
2. He loves every kind of baby food, although he isn't to fond of green beans.
3. He flaps his arms really fast when he is excited. (I love it), I should get a video of that one.
4. Every time we eat dinner or he see's someone eating he gets excited and annoyed that he isn't getting any food.
5. He is very good natured, he is content playing with his toys for a little while at least.
6. He sleeps so good, we usually put him to bed around 10 or 10:30 and he sleeps until 8-9 am. He also still takes a morning nap and a late afternoon nap.
7. He started to play in the bath at about 6.5 months. I think at first he wasn't to sure about it.
8. He wants to crawl so bad, but he can't figure it out. He gets on his stomach and reaches for something and just kicks his legs as fast as he can.
9. He is definitely a momma's boy, he snuggles into my neck and gives me slobbery kisses.
10. He loves anything electronic, he studies anything and everything including his feet. He could stare at his feet ALL day.
11. He loves wearing hats and shoes (he takes after me, I love shoes).
I could go on and on, I love him. Being a mom is hard and there are days that I would like to just sleep in and not worry about anything, but I wouldn't change being a mom for ANYTHING. Crue has brought so much to my life and to our lives.

Update
Our family was really busy during the holidays, and having a sick baby has made posting a little hard. On December 4th, Crue was 4 months old....holy cow the time has flown by. He weighed 12.8 lbs and was still pretty small for his age compared to other kids. I liked having a smaller baby :), so I can't complain. Then in the middle of December Crue got a mild cold (or so I thought) he started acting better within a few days so I didn't worry about taking him to the Dr. however, he had been wheezing every now and then so it was always in the back of my mind that he should be checked out. Finally at the end of January I took him to the Dr. because he woke up with a bad cold he had snot all over and was coughing...I could tell my little man didn't feel very good at all. When I got him to the Dr. we were told he had bronchiolitis which can be caused from RSV, so I think he might of had a mild case of RSV in December and I didn't get it taken care of so it turned into bronchiolitis, I felt horrible. We had to buy a nebulizer so we could give him breathing treatments every 4 hours for 5 days straight. We are on the 5th day right now and its so hard, he hates having the mask on his face. I have had a few nights of just crying...because I don't want my little guy to suffer at all. I want to take all the pain and suffering away from him. On top of him being sick I also had a cold, which made everything worse trying to take care of a very sick baby. Luckily I have a awesome husband :) he took the day off work so I could rest and he could help with Crue. I am getting better and I can tell that Crue is getting tons better, he doesn't cough or wheeze as much.
I never knew that I could care about anybody as much as I do about my own child. Its amazing to me that as soon as I found out I was pregnant I was willing to do anything for my baby.
In more happier news...Crue has been eating baby food since about 5.5 months old, he didn't eat it very well until that time, but now that he eats it he LOVES it...we haven't found food that he won't eat. And he also started sitting up just this week. He is a little wobbly still but for the most part he can hold him self up for several minutes.
Here are updated pictures of our family, and what we have been doing for the last few months.
