The Day Has Arrived!!

Crue was born August 4th, at 7:26 am. He was bornat 36.5 weeks so he is techincally premature, I wasn't due until August 26th. He is so precious we love him so much, and can't imagine our lives without him. He is a very special little spirit to have around.
Here is my labor/delivery story:
Wednesday August 3rd we went to Payson to help Stetson finish building his new computer. And I was helping Cody's grandma find some things on the internet to redo a bedroom. We were just sitting there and I got up to look at something on the internet, and I felt a small gush of water. I stood there for a minute and I felt a second and then a third. I knew I wasn't peeing my pants, but I went to the bathroom anyways. And I realized it was definitely my water breaking. I was so nervous to go tell Cody and I was nervous because now everything that I had been waiting for was about to happen. I went out and told him my water broke, and finally he believed me and knew I wasn't peeing my pants. We went to the hospital in Payson at about 9:30 pm Wednesday night. We had to check in, in the ER and then we got all situated in a labor room. They were really short handed that day so they had to call in a nurse to come and help me. They started me on pitocin to get my contractions more consistent at about 10:30 or 11. I was feeling fine at this point, I would have contractions but they weren't anything that I couldn't handle. At around 2:30 I was dilated to a 7, and my contractions changed from being ones I could handle to ones that were so painful I can't even describe the pain. So I asked for a epidural. It took close to an hour before my epidural was in place. But once it was, it was such a good feeling I was feeling great. After the epidural it only took 30 mins for me to get dilated to a 10. My doctor wanted me to rest and descend and just let the baby move down for an hour. My doctor got to the hospital at about 7 am and Crue was right there. I did about 5 sets of 3 pushes and he was born. I didn't tear or have to have an episotomy which is rare for a first time mom. All the nurses and the doctor were so surprised at how well my labor and delivery went. When Crue was placed on my chest I couldn't stop crying, neither could Cody. My little Crue was perfect he didn't have a cone head, and he was the right temp so he didn't even have to go to the warmer.

Its been such a blessing to be a mom, I love him so much and can't imagine my life without him.

Its getting close

I only have 4 weeks until my due date, and its creeping up on us like CRAZY!!  With all the stresses of switching insurance and having to pay more money its been really stressful around my house.  I appreciate everyone's nice comments and everyone so willing to help us in any way they can.  At our last prenatal class last Tuesday the instructor said that "things that are a lot of worth, never come with out lots of hard work" I really liked that because I feel like all through out my pregnancy I have had little trials that have made pregnancy hard for me at times but Crue is worth a lot and once he is born I am sure I will look back and say all the work was worth it.

I also think that Crue is a special spirit and that Satan doesn't want him here and so he has made us get very discouraged when we have situations arise such as losing my job, and losing insurance etc those things weighed on me very heavily and it was hard to want to have baby Crue because I wasn't sure how we were going to pay for everything.  After realizing that everything will work out, and that Satan can get me discouraged I felt so much better.  I have loved Crue ever since I found out I was pregnant and I can't wait to be a mom to a wonderful little spirit that Heavenly Father sent me.

Here are just a few pictures to update everyone on what we have been up to lately!
We repainted a dresser for Crue's room.

Went fishing at Payson Lake for the 4th of July.

Stetson and Cody lighting fireworks for the 4th.

We went to a family reunion for the Peter Maughan family up in Wellsville Utah, so me and Cody decided to make a little over-nighter out of it.  We got a nice hotel room for cheap, went to Bluebird and did a little shopping in Logan.  It was very relaxing and fun to be away for a night.

For the 24th of July we went to Payson Lake with Cody's family for the day, and then we had a bbq in Payson at his grandparents and lit fireworks.  It was fun to be with family and luckily it wasn't to hot so I was able to stay at the lake most of the day.

34 Weeks Pregnant!!! (Long Post)

It feels so weird to be 34 weeks pregnant already, I can't believe that in (hopefully) 6 weeks or less we will have a little man around our house.  It makes me so excited just to think about it.  We have most everything we need just a couple small projects to do then the nursery will be all the way done, and I can get pictures posted.  Cody has been such a great help getting everything ready including helping paint a dresser for Crue's clothes.  There is nothing better than to see how excited your husband gets when he gets to pick out some clothes for the new baby and he comes back to me with a huge grin on his face holding a Superman shirt, and of course a Batman shirt.  He will love Crue I can already tell, and that makes me happy!!!

On a sad note, on Friday the 8th I was laid off work...which meant that I would lose my insurance at the end of July.  What a great time to get laid off when I have a baby due in a little over a month.  There were several people laid off, I do feel pretty blessed though because Cody has a great job and its a stable job.  I have been so busy applying for unemployment which I will start getting in August so that will be nice to have the extra income, also applying for government assistance for health care is a pain but I am hoping the make a decision soon because I don't have much time.
I think that me getting laid off was meant to be, I wasn't sad or hurt that I got laid off I feel like it was meant to be so that I can be with Crue.  Its weird the calm feeling I have had since I got laid off, a lot of my pregnancy symptoms have gotten better since I stopped working.  I don't want this to come across that I don't appreciate working or having a job because I truly do but I think at this time in my life that Heavenly Father has a different plan for me to raise our little boy.  We have had money saved to help pay our bills for the labor and delivery so its been nice to have that set aside.  Its hard for me to not know what will happen, but I keep praying and hoping that everything will be fine and that I just need to trust Heavenly Father and things will be okay.

We have just started going to a family ward instead of the student married ward, and I am so glad we have made the switch, I don't feel like just a number in the ward anymore tons of people from the ward have already tried getting in touch with us for ward activities etc.  I am grateful that I married Cody and that he has the same views about church as I do.  I think its so important for Crue to be raised in a good environment with the church a part of his life.

Whew...I am TIRED!

There has been so much going on in the last week that I am tired :).

**Last weekend I went to Burlington Coat Factory and found the crib bedding set I wanted, and I LOVE IT!!!!!  I want it so bad to put in Crue's crib.

**I have needed new front tires on my car for a while, but money has been tight and every week we were to short on cash to buy new tires.  On my way to work on Tuesday I started hearing a funny noise, and I thought maybe it was the construction...however after a few seconds the sound didn't stop.  I pulled off to the side of the freeway and checked and sure enough my tire blew out.  I called Cody crying and he came and rescued me and put on the dinky spare tire so we could drive back to Orem to get new tires.  I am glad that we had money in savings that we could use for the tires it just makes it hard when we are trying to save to pay for Crue to be born and it has to be used for something else.
**Cody came down with a really bad cough last week and he was coughing non stop, he couldn't sleep and I was getting so worried about him.  Finally after a weekend full of coughing I told Cody he was missing work and we were taking him to the Dr.  The Dr. said he had bronchitis so we got 3 prescriptions...we headed to Wal Greens to get them filled and our total was $70 it made me sick when they told me how much it was.  But I am glad that they are helping him start to feel better, we definetely can't be sick when Crue gets here.

**I had to write my baby shower invites and get them all sent out since my sisters are having my baby shower on 6/18, which is right around the corner.  I hope a lot of people come :)

**Yesterday I was craving Chex Mix, so I decided that I was going to make some for a yummy snack at work.  So last night I made a big bowl of sweet n' salty chex mix mmmmm it looks so good!!!
On Monday I have a Dr. appt and I find out if I passed my glucose tolerance test.  I am hoping that I did because I don't want to take the 3 hour test and I don't want to have gestational diabetes.  We have started going every 2 weeks so that means time is flying and Crue will be here before we know it.  I am nervous about how things will work out once Crue is born, like if we will be able to make it financially with just Cody working and if I will be a good mom to Crue.

Here is a picture with me and my current prego belly, its not a very good picture because I couldn't take it very well with my camera.

Blessings-LONG POST!

We have had some really amazing blessings in the last month that I just wanted to share, because I feel like I need to write these types of things down.

First, back in April Cody's work was starting to require all the employees to take VTO (voluntary time off) which started to make me worried for Cody's job.  We were really stressed about making ends meet when he would only have worked just a couple days a week.  He started looking for another job and applying here and there but nothing was working out.  He found a job at Central Utah Clinc and it required a certificate in A+, Cody is currently enrolled in that program but doesn't have his certificate yet.  But he thought what the heck I will apply and see what happens.  He applied and went in for his interview, and got a call a few days later saying that he got the job.  He literally works less than 5 minutes from our house which really saves on gas, and they have great benefits.  He loves his job, he actually enjoys going to work now.  But back to the story :) he got hired and went to his current job at MyEbiz and put in his 2 weeks but instead of letting him work 2 weeks the pretty much just laid him off that day because they couldn't continue to pay him, which was another struggle for us.  He started work on April 25 and he had to wear business casual shirts, but Cody didn't have any of those types of clothes with the help of my dad he was able to get tons of clothes that he can wear to work.  A week after Cody left MyEbiz they laid off everyone on his team so we truly are blessed!  I am glad we have a Heavenly Father than listens to our prayers and helps us in times of need.

Second,
Last week we were struggling with money, and I knew we had 2 bills that were coming out that weekend.  One was my car insurance and the other was our car payment.  I was the only one getting paid that week and it was a very small check because I had been sick and only worked 24 hours.  I calculated trying to figure out how much my check would be to make sure it would cover our 2 bills, and every time I did we came out short and there wouldn't be enough for the bills.  When Friday rolled around and my check was desposited it was more than I thought, and we ended up have just a couple bucks left over after our 2 bills were paid.  I felt so blessed to be able to make those payments.  However we did struggle the rest of the week, it really helped me to realize how much stuff we really had.

SORRY for the long post, but I really needed to write this down.
